Many factors go into building a sturdy house pad that will support the weight of the home. It is important the contractor make a site visit to determine how water shed will effect the proposed house pad site. With 30 years under our belt you can rest assured we have the knowledge you are looking for to build a house pad with the right soil and compaction, along with drainage to help prevent erosion, settling and shifting. As always, our estimate are free.
When it comes to site preparation or land development, you will need a driveway contractor to build a road/driveway that will sustain the daily workload. Driveways give access to properties on a daily basis and need to be constructed in such a way to eliminate potholes and frustration, and provide sturdy access unto the property. A driveway should be built approximately 6" above the natural ground to prevent water shed and erosion. In some cases, a drainage pipe may be required to release the natural water shed. The best material to use for a driveway foundation or base would be some type of crushed aggregate, such as 610 Limestone or concrete washout. Then the base would be capped off with a sized aggregate, such as #57 limestone or gravel, to support the needs of the driveway.
If you only need to fix potholes, putting gravel or limestone into a pothole is not the solution! It only adds to your frustration and is a waste of money. Site work preparation needs to be done by trained and experienced professional to solve reoccurring problems that can last a lifetime.
